Wool and craftsmanship makes the best house shoe

Originated in Denmark many years ago, glerups have been producing footwear adhering to the traditional craftsmanship, while keeping an eye on the development of how production could be improved. What started as a hobby has now become a company that ships footwear all over the world. The design has only had a few adjustments and the wool blend used is packed with natural benefits keeping your feet at their most comfortable, even when worn a long time. This is because the wool itself absorbs excess heat and moisture. Any problems you might have with bad odor from your feet, will not be an issue with a pair of glerups shoes, as they also absorb odor along with moisture. 

They are easy to maintain as well – just let the shoes rest a bit, preferably outside in the fresh air and soon the shoes will be as good as new. This leads us to another thing that separates glerups from other footwear. Our products aren’t meant to last just a season, they can last long provided you take good care of them. Danish design in a wool house shoe

In Denmark there is a long tradition amongst Danish designers of being inspired by nature, using what it gives us to create something that will last, while adhering to the philosophy of making things that are simple, functional and elegant. In our humble opinion, footwear from glerups checks these boxes. Our footwear is simple and straightforward in its design, no extra unnecessary accessories or that sort of thing. Just a simple, yet classy house shoe made with wool from Danish Gotland sheep mixed with wool from New Zealand. 

Their functionality is expressed in their usage – they can be worn at home, to school, in the office or even on a quick trip downtown. If you are more of an outdoorsy type, we recommend that you choose the shoe with the natural rubber sole instead of the classical leather sole, so you can use them in your garden or wherever you want.
